Prescreen Volunteer Information
Pre-Screen Day 1: Friday, August 22, 2025
Location: The Council on Recovery - 303 Jackson Hill St, Houston, TX 77007
Volunteer Hours: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Patients will start arriving at 1:00 PM. Please arrive by 12:00 PM for check-in and assignments. Doors close at 4:00 PM, but volunteers are needed to help pack up and vacate the clinic by 5:00 PM.
Pre-Screen Day 2: Saturday, August 23, 2025
Location: Wheeler Baptist Church - 3826 Wheeler Ave, Houston, TX 77004
Volunteer Hours: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Patients will start arriving at 9:00 AM. Please arrive by 8:00 AM for check-in and assignments. Doors close at 4:30 PM, with packing and vacating duties completed by 6:00 PM.
Volunteer Pre-Screen Arrival Instructions
- Arrive at the start of your shift, which is one hour before patient arrivals.
- Punctuality is essential to ensure smooth check-in and assignments.
Important Pre-Screen Volunteer Information
- Personal Belongings: Limited storage available; bring only essentials that are comfortably portable. Avoid leaving valuables in your vehicle.
- Dress Code: Wear comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes suitable for standing and working. Badge provided at check-in must be worn during your shift.
- Cell Phone Usage: Phones should be silent. Please refrain from using your phone during your volunteering hours.
- Refreshments: Snacks and water will be available.
Main Event Volunteer Information
Dates: September 26-27, 2025
Location: Wheeler Baptist Church
Volunteer Main Event Arrival Instructions:
- Wednesday and Thursday Shifts (All Volunteers): Arrive 30 minutes prior to your start time for check-in and training.
- Friday and Saturday Morning Shifts for Non-Clinical Volunteers: Arrive exactly at your start time, which is 5:00 AM.
- Friday and Saturday Afternoon Shifts for Non-Clinical Volunteers: Arrive exactly at your start time, which is 11:45 AM.
- Dentists and Hygienists:
- Morning Shift: Arrive by 5:45 AM for check-in and chair assignments at patient distribution.
- Afternoon Shift: Arrive by 12:00 PM for check-in and chair assignments at patient distribution.
Important Main Event Volunteer Information
